I'm thinking the depth chart at safety looks like this...

FS: Woodson/High Draft Pick... Dahl... Robinson
SS: Whitner... Spillman

CB: Brown... Rogers... Culliver... Asomugha/Draft Pick... Cox... Brock

His size is more like a CB, but does he have the skills for the position? I don't know much about him despite him being here for 1 year. I never saw him play in college.

i can see that but keep 11 guys on the secondary? thats alot for the 53.
I guess this is because I just think Brock blows as a CB in general, but is a good Special Teamer.

Cox or Brock likely gets cut.

now way Cox gets cut, he has played solid for us, i think Robinson could beat out Brock and then we keep 10.

Rogers, Brown, Cully, Cox, Robinson

Rookie S, Whitner, Spillman, Dahl, M.Thomas

Brock provides a little more special teams value, though, and I was talking about the 5th corner spot behind Asomugha or a rookie.

If it's for the 4th spot, then yes, Cox would absolutely be kept over Brock.

I wouldn't be surprised if Trenton Robinson is not on the team this year. He just isn't very good.

Exactly what is this based of? Just wondering, since the time Robinson was drafted, there really was no news on him and its impossible to determine just how the coaching staff feels about his long-term prospects....etc.

this would be a better question asked after the draft
It could be some spirited competition between Robinson, Michael Thomas and Curtis Taylor. I don't see Taylor on the PS, as there are only 7 players listed. I'm sure I saw they signed him...as for Dahl, he played both SS and FS for the Rams over his 4 years with them. So, he's versatile, arguably another reason Harbaalke liked him. The other factor...Whitner's in the last year of his contract.
