I was a big fan of Ted Popson , he had the knack to get open and find some space to make plays , if anyone remembers the comeback against the bengals in the 90's , when Steve Young found Popson in the middle of the field to win us the game

but yeah , "Touchdown Ted Popson" is MY favorite 2nd string of alltime ...Sorry D-Love

John Frank. Played 5 years and then left for medical school in his prime. I respected that.

I have no problem with it, just a little odd talking about our favorite 2nd string TE's. While we are at it, who is your favorite 2nd string right guard

hmmmm.. was the guy a 2nd stringer??

I always remembered him as a starter.. i know he started against the Bengals.. one TE i fully remember who never got a chance was Ron Heller #89 .. I think he was THE 2nd stringer behind Frank and he was ahead of Brent Jones..

Also, we gave up too soon on Wesley Walls .. he became a star for the Panthers later on..
It's got to be John Frank playing behind Russ Francis, who was one of my all-time favorites.
