Not sure if this needs to be merged but seem like this could be big news! Jason La Canfora &rlm;@JasonLaCanfora The 49ers have expressed to others that a deal for QB Alex Smith is effectively complete. Can't be finalized til league year begins 3/12 so it's not official, both clubs view it at as it's effectively done. I do not know the other team. KC and JAX are 2 teams that make sense

You are saying 4-7? We shall see, Im saying 2 or 3. A 1st rounder is obviously way out of the question and I think a 2nd is pretty unlikely unless it is for 2014.

Im saying if its a pick swap, the amount of value in the swap will atleast equal out to a second round value on the chart.

If we dont get any picks this year, than you better beleive we are probably getting a 1st rounder next season.

If its picks this year its atleast something that reaches second round value.

What that will look like is anyones guess. Swap seconds, and then you guys throw in additional picks, third round this year, second next year, who knows, but the value will be atleast second round value.

I think you are going to be very disappointed. No chance KC would trade a future first for Smith. Come on ... they know the Niners cant keep Alex and that there arent many suitors. Why on earth would they give up that much,

I REALLY hope you are right. I just highly doubt it

Like i said, i predict atleast a second round value.

BUT, if we dont get anything this season, the value goes up.

I have firmly predicted a second round value since the begining of this converastion. I stand by that.
