I was impressed that Lockette worked out with Kaepernick this summer.

Size and speed are great, but dedication is frequently the key.

He showed me that he has that dedication.

He will make the 53-man roster, and contribute this year.

Agreed. Glad he is working out with Kaepernick!
I dont believe for a second that lockett will beat out jenkins. AJ has supreme talent, WR is very difficult to adjust to for the first 2 years. Jenkins is gonna be very good for us.I really hope Ricardo brings something to our team, But lets be realistic. He is 27 and hasnt made the leap yet.

I haven't seen it
All you have to do is put on tape of him at Illinois. He progressed every year there and then dominated on one of the worst QB'd teams in the nation. He was there whole offense. Which is exactly what Balke and Harbaugh saw and why they drafted him.

Lockette's been in the league for two years.
He looks good. I'm really excited to see RL play. Wish the guy the best. Would be nice to have a backup WR that can perform.
If he can return punts i dont think hes competing with aj and mario as much as he will be competing with KW and Moore

I'd say the competition would be with Williams because Moore is a gunner on ST.

We'll have to see how it plays out. I'm still not convinced Manningham will be ready by training camp.

Been hoping and praying, crossing my fingers, knocking on wood, throwing salt over my shoulder, peeing into my neighbor's rain barrel, etc etc.

Be awesome if the guy makes a quick comeback. He was great.

He won't be, and even HE knows it. I think that's a large part of why he took a pay cut - he knew he wouldn't be ready till about mid-season.
Do you know what would be hilarious? If he got cut. Then all of this conversation about him being a beast would be a waste

But seriously, you guys are hyping him up a lot, AJ will probably end up being our no. 2 guy.
