we will draft at least two WRs. it has been written so it shall come to pass.

But i just can not see us getting two wide outs with so many other areas of need. i do have high hopes for kyle mario and the kid we got from miami. he certainly will help us more than that welp ginn did.. i am also optimistic(as i grit my teeth a bit) about jenkins

Originally posted by susweel:you are right overall but i think along with our obvious needs for a safety , tight end and two d linemen i would rather take a offensive lineman, cornerback, linebacker quarterback, even a kid kicker ahead of a second wide out. but what the hell if the coaches find two kids they like and esp if one can return punts, i am more than ok with two wide outs

This.
Mario only signed a 2-year deal and that knee injury will probably use up half of 2013 season until he's playing like he was, if we keep him. Kyle's in the same boat. I like both of these guys because they are shifty and would have been the perfect weapons for us in the Superbowl to spread Ray Lewis and his help thin in that middle.
I don't think they make it due to their injuries.
Getting back to Lockette. Dude should have a very solid year.

I don't see Baalke drafting more than 1 WR...we really don't know about Lockette yet, but Harbaugh's reportedly very high on him. For now, that's good enough. We also got Marlon Moore, not exactly a household name, but after 3 seasons in Miami has some experience as both a WR and KR. Baalke signed him for a reason...so I think he may well factor in the mix. I'm hoping they can work out an extension for Boldin...he's got a few good years left. His work ethic and warrior mentality sets a great example for the youngsters.

Yeah Mario is coming back from 2 ligament tears, for a guy whos main asset is "shiftyness", I doubt he is back to full strength until 2014, he was hurt way too late in the year. I think the final WR corp will be =
Crabs
Boldin
KW
AJ
Lockette
Moore ( for ST's )
I think that KW is going to come back strong this year. He was showing some real explosivness before getting hurt. That deep ball against Chicago was just a taste of the CK to KW connection. AJ and Ricardo will step up and show their speed this summer. They should get all the 2nd team reps early and both were working out with Colin this winter, so hopefully some chemistry develops. If we draft a rookie WR, that last spot will be between Moore, Lockette and KW ( if he's not 100% ). If KW is healthy and we draft a WR, then Lockette may be on his way to the Practice Squad or on another team. I just have a feeling with that size and speed, Lockette is gonna make this 53. Moore's ST abiilty will save his spot.
