Anyone else notice in the Super Bowl on the Final drive when Gore ran off that 32 yard run that he asked to come out of the game?? I wish we woulda kept him in there and playcationed passed to VD or Delanie since Crabs was doubled on the 1st down play
He is going to follow in Jim Brown and Reggie Sanders footsteps and retire at 30?
I bet he doesn't.

Take the Hunter. Would still like to see a man beast for short yardage.

What could possess you to even remotely believe Gore is going to have to battle for his spot.

Hunter next year but I have a hunch that LMJ will be the starting back in a few years.

What do we with Dixon? He's a great special teams player, and is great at actually making the "Jumbo Package" work, but 4 backs on the roster?

Hunter looks like he can be an elite-level back some day...he reminds me a bit of Ray Rice both in stature and running style. Hopefully he recovers from that achilles...
James is a valuable piece as we've seen...hopefully he can become our version of Darren Sproles.
Meanwhile, Gore keeps trucking along, on his way to 10k yards and the HOF IMO. We're set at RB for awhile, IMO.

Don't forget, Miller counts as a back too.

Gore, Hunter, then James. I think truly that Hunter and James are easily swapped for one another without much difference. I hope we run 3 RBs next season. No reason to bench James just because we got Hunter back especially when James is starting to show signs of being great.

I dont think its truely a 1,2,3 anymore. Its by down, distance, formation etc...
You pick the play you want to run and that back goes in the game. Gore is power and between the tackles, LMJ is speed and getting to the edge, Hunter is a hybrid of the two, and Dixon is short yardage. You will have to change it up now and then to avoid being predictable....but I dont think there will be a clear starter and backups situation any longer.

Hunter. He has speed and quickness and tougness, LMJ so far is just quick and has still a lot to learn.
