Which single aspect excluding the superbowl will you take from the season as a whole?

For me it's Kaepernick. I wasn't high on the guy from the beginning and wasnt sure that he was the answer. The defense has been the face of the franchise for the past few years and basically if we weren't running we weren't winning. With or without the read option, the offense will be exciting to watch again and i'm completely sold that we have our guy. I'm hoping he takes a McNabbesque approach to his career in that fact that he came into the league as a runner and settled in as a passer yet always remained a threat to take off. I think that preserves his career and gives opposing defenses more to think about. What did you guys extract from this season that either encouraged or discouraged you?

For sure it's Kaepernick. With an offseason of preparation and work as the starter... It's been years, but I finally am truly excited about our offensive potential!!

That the two main ingredients to a powerful offense is a top notch O-line and a playmaking QB. Everything else can be plug and play.

Kaep is a superstar in the making and I'm looking forward to seeing him and the offense grow into a top 5 offense. It's finally great to see we finally found our franchise qb. Find a wr opposite of Crabtree and a possible replacement for walker and we'll be fun to watch

Harbaugh has the balls to make the biggest and best decisions for this team...and he also can cost us equally (Roman, Akers, slow starts, etc.).

Amen man, he really stepped into his own and honestly that is the only thing that has me not entirely emotionally screwed up about the ending.

We are NFC Champs, that's definitely something to be proud of.
And I expect Kaep to break out in his 3rd year and ball out of his mind! He's going to break records.

Kap.
He is excellent from the pocket, yet can scramble and pick up first downs at will. We don't even need the Pistol crap.

Harbaugh was right about the qb switch.

I will take the solace knowing we finally have a QB again. But also the reality that we need some help on the dline. Yes, we saw weakness in the secondary, but if we could get more pressure from dline, than our secondary will be better. I want pressure from Dline (i hate to say this because I HATE them, but like Seattle).

The man's second year in the league and he has made tremendous accomplishments including an unpopular calculated risk. Prime example of why i'm here and he's the coach, a great one at that.
