Untrue, JH checked out both QBs including Cam, even though we had no chance at Cam. If you are a good coach, you are going to the do your homework. When we first hired JH after Baalke got the job, Ballke said he would listen to the scouts and the coaches on what they thought but we would ultimately make the final decisions, but would defere to JH when it came to QBs.
Now fast foward, recently Baalke said in an interview during this playoff stretch, that he had originally graded Kaep in the third or later rounds, but JH told him he wanted Kaep and that the team needed to move up to get him, Baalke asked are your sure, JH said yes, and the rest is history. Good thing too cause the Jets wanted him (not that they have any idea how to coach a QB). At first I thought when I read it, that wow, I thought both Baalke and JH had the same grade of second round, but it was all JH, but Baalke showed he was a man of his word and worked with JH instead insisting to do it his way only which some GMs sometimes do.
