I don't want to sound like too much of a homer, but with the story lines and analysis of some of these talking heads it seems like their producers got them together and said "listen, guys, we know the 49ers are going to kick the s**t out of this old defense and one trick pony offense. Lets lead 'em on"

I just can't write them off so easily, they did win games, tough games and we caught lucky breaks just like them...they are riding on the chemistry of having their defense solidified once again...this is going to be a very tough game to win, everyone predicting blowouts are just glorifying pep talks

No, this reminds me of Mel Kiper on draft days. No matter who the consensous pick is, he goes against the grain, i.e. Griffen should go before Luck. Its just talking idiots picking against the favorite so on Monday if the Ravens happen to win, they can say I was right in my pick. There isnt any more logic to it than to drive up rating and make themselves look better than by picking the underdog. Thats it.
