Anyone else NOT a fan of the second seed bye week?

Out of the last 3 years, the 2 past bye weekers have fallen on their ace.


Detroit Tigers (beisbol, I know) were heavily favored, sweep the Yankees, and had a full week and a half off. They got swept up by the Giants. *cheap pop*

The way we beat the Seahawks last time at their loud ass stadium was within the first drive, we moved the ball and that shut the crowd up.


Rain, will not help us , even if Candlestick

A bye week will just get our players into offseason mode and like a short 3 day work week, will DRAG like a mofo.And if anyone knows anything about drags, it's me. Hai..

if you're refering to last years christmas eve game in seattle, it was them who took the opening posession and drove it down our throats for a td. they led at half 10-3 i think and our only td did not come until the second half.

likewise for me. even though its become en vouge to just make the playoffs then turn it on a la the giants and packers of the last 2 years, you just cant bank on that s**t. plus we're a california team, we dont want to be in gb when its 20 below and snowing with our season on the line.

I'd prefer the bye.

An extra week for the injured guys to heal and more time to get a Red Zone attack that works.

Its Huge to be a #1 or #2. Week off to rest bumps & Bruises and a few extra days off to game plan for 3 different possible opponents. Huge fan, #3 thru 6 has to play right away & risk losing or if they do win they might get someone hurt etc etc

for every 2011 giants or 2010 packers, there are many more who dont make it. the fact its happened 2 years in a row leads me to believe it wont happen a third.

If we are good enough to win it all we will.

That bein said I wouldn't mind it but it really shouldn't matter for an elite team and in the NFL anything can happen.
