Did anybody see Vernon Davis not extend his arms to try and catch a TD pass from kapernick? It was a little high, but he didn't even jump or extend his arms to try and catch the ball.

That ball was overthrown Vernon was at top speed If he caught it , it would of had been a dramatic catch. They "just" missed it.

He wasn't full speed, in the game day thread VD even commented that he needs to get use to Kaep

The pass was overthrown by about 4 inches. I will not blame Vernon Davis for not catching that pass. I do blame him for not laying out. But in no way do I expect him to make that catch. What I expect is for him to make a maximum effort attempt.
Would have been a spectacular play and catch.

Vernon Davis is well paid to do dramatic catches.

I am not sure that jumping and diving would have gotten it done. He would have to slow down to do either. It was a tad overthrown.

Definetly overthrown. Would of been a great catch if he made it but I think he could of put forth a little more effort.

The point is that the ball was close enough for him to make an effort at catching it. He could put forth a little more effort on that play.

I'll have to take a look at it again. I can't find it online.

It looked like Kap had his choice of VD, or D. Walker on that TD toss, and Kap picked Walker, Vernon has been less the dependable as a receiver.

I didn't dwell on it, but from just watching the game at full speed he was moving pretty fast. Vernon does need to step up some, everyone else is.
