Anthony Davis might lose his job next year

No. Their big board was leaked. They also had a first round grade on bowman.
1st rounder. 13th overall. 22 year old 3rd year player. part of best Oline in the league. yeh our coaches are gonna blow that whole s**t up next year

How many players and coaches are we going to throw under the bus to protect our QB? Y'know, guys like Tom Brady and Peyton Manning don't get sacked much, because they get rid of the ball quickly and on-time. Something that neither of our QBs have ever done. With a few exceptions Kap has had more than 3 seconds without pressure per snap, but when you hold the ball for more than 4 seconds on average the O-line is going to look bad, because you're going to get a lot of pressure and sacks.

We had the same awful sack rate with Alex Smith at QB.

we've dropped from 31st to 32nd because the bears improved from terrible to merely awful

Looking at film, it appears that Anthony Davis is the weak link on offense. We are dead last in adjusted sack rate, and much of that falls on Davis.

I would not be surprised if Boone takes his RT job in camp, with Davis being kicked inside, or Davis losing his starting role entirely with Looney getting in there.

when you're dead last, it can't get any worse...

Where are you getting this from? Why are you singling our Davis? Our whole Oline can't pass block.

Well we are dead last in sack rate, so we can't be the best.

we are awesome at run blocking though

I wasn't saying that Alex Smith was that much better at getting rid of the ball quickly. Both of our QBs have sucked at it.

yeh but i think coaches see hes been progressing steadily since his rookie year. his measurables are crazy good for a RT. that and we got a mobile QB behind him so add it all together and our coaches will keep giving him chances till he proves an outright bust.
Davis has the body type to be a guard and Boone seems a prototypical tackle. They have approximately the same reach but Boone has three inches in height on AD. Oddly, the knock on Davis coming out of college was that while he was really good at pass protection he did not always sustain his blocks in the running game. The knock on Boone was his drinking and resisting arrest and did not move his feet fast enough against speed rushers. So, what do we know? LOL!

I like their attitudes and hope both continue to improve.

Soo......What are Anthony Davis' pass protection metrics now because wasn't it about week 6 through week 8 that he ranked in the top 5 - 10 of pass protection?

who cares how the cowboys grade o-lineman, do you know in the jerry ones era they've picked 1 o-lineman in the first round? and it only happened like 2 years ago with tyron smith.
No way.. if I had to choose our weakest link on the O-line it would be Goodwin.. you could argue A.D is our best tackle..

look at all the previous draft for the past 20 some years, they've passed on a lot of wicked o-lineman for meh players. just saying of all the teams to look at their draft board for o-lineman and question it, thats the team.
