what i've heard through bills fans is that bill belichick loved attacking whitner's area on the field when he was playing in buffalo.......

just saying.

Well the problem with that is Whitner is apart of a way better pass rush and are not asked to cover much. When he does play man he or Goldson plays sort of deep to allow the hot route to be open only to separate the WR from the ball. His lack of coverage skills are substituted by his superhuman ability to close in with the force of a "buffalo". LOL
Is this what is in store for us the rest of this season? Talking about what Kaep almost did or has the potential to do while our once promising season continues to disintegrate?

I think it has more to do with Kap not being at fault for his WR's missing passes. "Potential" would be on the basis of speculation. We all have clear footage of players dropping big plays

Some posters here can only talk about the qb position.

And btw our season is not disintegrating.

There is no logical reason that one could accept AS performance potential and disregard or dismiss Kap's. The only argument that could be made for Smith is ball protection. But the issue with that is we can't win a war by playing 60 minutes of defense on both sides of the ball. Only when Alex became a predator rather than a turtle did he get his biggest game ever. So the question is, can or will he do that (2011 Saints playoff game) consistently?

We're likely about to lose our division and fall all the way to the sixth seed from the second seed. We're probably looking at a first round playoff exit. This season has clearly fallen apart. And it's because Kaep couldn't finish the job against the Rams at Candlestick and threw away a game we had in hand in St. Louis. And yet here we are, talking about the amazing deep TDs he almost threw while we slowly descend back into our losing ways from the last decade.

Watch Belichick come out and go heavy run at the start of the game. Stallworth went on IR, Welker and Lloyd are the only healthy wide-outs, will resign Branch. Danny Woodcock on screens and Pat and Bo eat up the TE. I see lots of dink and dunk and no 20 second drives for touchdowns. From a betting standpoint this is a classic trap game. If the spread goes up 2 1/2 - 4 points all the play is with NE. My thanks to Joe Theismann.
This game needs to become a stretcher game. Like Bill Romanoski last year against the saints. Instead of sproles our defense needs to take Wes welker to the hospital.. Our defense needs to bring heavy pressure on Brady and who ever touches that F-nnnnnn ball LAY THEM OUT. STRETCHER GAME!!!!!!!!

LOL. How is our season disintegrating? We are 9-3-1 and Kaep is 3-1 as a starter.

How are returning to our losing ways? IF we did lose out, we'd still have a winning record for the year.

Some people.

Yea, and I'm sure some Arizona Cardinals fan said something similar to a fan that doubted the quality of their 4-0 start. The writing is on the wall people. This team has lost its way.

We're "likely"? Nothing that you said has happened yet, so why should we pretend it did and react accordingly? And Kaep "couldn't finish the job" against the Rams? He came in down 14-7. He brought the Niners back and took the lead, after which the defense gave up a TD to the Rams which gave them the lead. Kaep drove the team back down the field for a tying field goal. In OT he drove the team to the Rams 23 yardline and put Akers in a position to win the game with a gimme 41-yard field goal. You know, the kind of field goal that Alex benefited from last year, and which you include in your list of "great" comebacks by Alex. Akers missed that field goal. That game is hardly Kaep's fault.
