SAN FRANCISCO 49ERS VS MIAMI DOLPHINS GAMEDAY THREAD (Week 14)

Seattle is undefeated at home...and with good reason. It's loud up there.

They are a very good team. Better than their record.
-Clock management is an issue. We are taking too long to get set on offense, and it is costing us.

-Defense needs to tighten up. Too many big plays given up, especially over the middle.

-Too many penalties. We appear to be totally undisciplined at times and seem all too happy to give away first downs.

-Kap did ok, but I still do not see anything that proves him to be a clear upgrade over Smith. Our third down conversion rate is atrocious and his indecisiveness leads to sacks. You got legs kid....don't be afraid to use them (that last TD run aside).

On the positive, LMJ is looking like a beast. I hope he sees the field more as the season goes on.

they just put up like 50 something and we have to play them in their house.

I cannot believe that the Cardinals won there earlier this season...I really can't.

No, but I can show you what he does against Chicago.

Makes you wonder what Alex could do against Chicago if they had no tape on him.

I saw the way he played when teams had no tape on him. It's called his rookie year.

Unfair. Kaep also sat a year and was coached by Harbaugh. Alex Smith inherited the least talented 49ers team of the last 35 years under a horrible coach.

Life is unfair. I didn't want Smith to start his rookie year. But fans couldn't deal with Rattay working wonders with the crap he was surrounded by so they cried for the great white hope to start.

We won, so def happy for that.

I'll just say this, 2 straight weeks, with no passing TD. Say what u want, but that's accepting mediocrity to me. Dont care if he ran for 100yds. Point is, he's supposed to be an upgrade. And other than a running TD. He has produced no TD's to WR's or TE's in the last two weeks.

So while Gore put the team on his back with us today. This thinking we are gonna win with just Gore, and a running TD aint gonna work. We yelled when Smith avg. 1 td a game last year, so im saying the same for Kaep.

That last run for a TD, that was good. But remember when soooooo many used to bash Smith when scoring a TD in the final minutes. Just felt it was garbage time, and didnt take the place of the way the whole game is played.

So like Kaep, Alex or whomever. Or none.

He has thrown no TD's in the past two weeks, and thats a problem for me. Especially with Seattle and New England coming up
We won, but because of a miami fumble on a punt. If it wasn't for their mistake, we could have lost AGAIN.

We are in danger for the next to weeks. I hope Harbaugh has a good game plan for both weeks! I like Kaep but if you ask me we need to go to the veteran who is more experienced in managing the clock. We can't burn time outs because of poor clock management. Especially against the Patriots who like to go No Huddle alot. We might need those timeouts to rest the defense at times.

I'd argue the opposite. I think they're good, but highly overrated and have benefited from boneheaded calls by the refs (see: them vs. Green Bay). Yes they are playing well now....but look at who they're playing against.

it will and if we lose to them and go into seattle and lose there which is very likely we could be in a bad spot

Because there are people who secretly want to see members of this team fail to feel justified about their own emotions.
no because we see how well seattle is playing at the end of the year and we see how we can barely beat a bottom tier team and we played two good quarters of football today. not the four you need at this time of the year,,, spare me the crap and garbage about how some want to see the team fail. i point out shortcoming i see in this team and coaching staff. i defy anyone to set there and tell me they are no worried about playing like s**t for a half vs a bottom tier team, penalties, lack of pressure and horse s**t pass protection. you set there and tell me with a straight face that if we go to new england or seattle and come out with the same effort we have had in the last two games, it will not be a blowout

Bad game from the Pats, just like we had bad games against the Rams at home.

If you base any opinion on Alex Smith based on his rookie year that's pretty sad

I base it on everything I've seen from him thus far. The only time teams didn't have tape on him was his rookie year so my point is relevant. And the only thing that's sad is his how long it's taken him to be a decent quarterback.

You're a smart poster but it's a horrible argument. Kaep has had Harbaugh from the start, Kaep sat a year, Kaep has a very very talented team that has helped him and Alex win. Alex inherited the least talented, worst 49ers team of the last 35 years. Alex's second year, with a team that was still horrendous was pretty solid. Comparing them both in their second seasons, comparing the large gap of talent and coaching, your argument doesn't hold up nearly as well as you think it does.

I will support the starter but I won't bash either guy in the process.
LMJ looked great. Why was he held out for so long? He needed to be out on the field sooner...we need all the playmakers we can get.

The biggest regret is the constipated playcalling though. We could field the Madden team for all intents and purposes, and Roman would lead it to field goals.

And you casually ignore the drop in the endzone to moss. How many pass plays were called in the redzone? We win the game and people are still complaining as if we lost. LOL

The drop should've been a PI but 1 play in the endzone does not make up for 2 games with 0 passing TD's

and the delanie drop?

the missed pass to Crabs in the corner that was off target

you sound like Smith haters after a Smith game

not a fan of hearing your own sentiments echoed back to you?

their D is physical, and their crowd will only eat up our penalty-prone OL
