Aldon Smith could end up breaking the sack record, but would need a miracle to be higher than 4th on PFF's DPOY ballot

JJ Watt, Von Miller, Geno Atkins are 1-2-3 in some order. RT@gooyankees: @PFF What's the ranking so far?

What a joke.

Screw the DPOY that's not a something that most will remember, Aldon will be remember until the next person breaks the sack record. I'll take that it's a longer lasting memory and will always be able to say he did that, vs o yeah he was once dpoy too, meanless over all next year someone else will be. Rather see the record and him hold on to that for awhile, STEP UP ALDON AND CRUSH THE RECORD!
Denver fans are soo bitter about Aldon being the top sack leader. LOL.
you can do it aldon
Where did his second sack today come?

Last series, he barely beat MacDonald to the QB. Could have had another sack, but he went for the strip instead and came up empty.

Yeah that's what I figured, I didn't see the last series. And I know, he should've wrapped up and then gone for the strip.. Frustrating haha he'd be one sack closer...

Yes I thought he had that strip sack for sure. On the replay it looked like the tackle gave him just enough of a shove to knock he off just a hair.

a player for the bengals. he is really good.. doesnt really get talked about either cause of the franchise he plays for. they would rather talk about the nick names of their quarterback than their underrated defense.. which btw is starting 3 of our cast offs lol

I don't see anything wrong with their selections. Aldon is beasting out, but all of those players are far more complete defenders than he is. Right now, Aldon is just a sack specialist. A damned good one, but still.

Geno Atkins has 10+ sacks as a NT. That's damn good. That said, I still don't think he should be in the conversation.

true. i believe aldon is a far superior player as purely talking bout pass rushing but to be honest id love to have a player like JJ Watt cause he can do anything that his position asks and he can do it unbelievably well. miller is really good too. i honestly feel like he is a lil overrated but i havent really watched him play enough to judge him about that.

16 sacks, six forced-fumbles, an INT, and absolute beast defending the run. Again, I love Aldon, but he is not as complete as these other guys. Sure he can be one day, but he is not there yet.

Miller and Watt are having great seasons, but in a era of pass-happy offenses, sacks are becoming game changers. And Aldon is the best around at that. He may not win the DPOY but the world is on watch. We have the next Reggie White, Derrick Thomas, Demarcus Ware
