Good, they definately are not going to see the field if they decide not to put in the work. While both Gore and Hunter have been outstanding it is still rare for a team to go 16 games without a RB go down. One or both of these guys could still be important this season.

I do, i just don't understand why we can't use him, maybe he hasn't impressed in practice. At least from the outside looking in, you would think with his size and strength, he could be used has a FB or TE for some running packages and of course run on short yardage situations.

I hope he doesn't play a down; Jacobs is only there in case Gore does down 'hard'. They don't believe Hunter, Dixon, and LMJ can carry the team through the playoffs

Seems like we are in less 3rd&1-3 so far. And more successful in converting it from 2nd down. So using Jacobs is a bit unnecessary. Once we show signs of having trouble in that area again, I think Harbaugh will call on Jacobs.
