After tonight I don't see any way we trade foe Bowe. WRs really stepped up.

Bowe is under a franchise contract right? So the major problem trading for him is that you would need a contract in place before the trade or you essentially on have a guarantee of having him this year. The next franchise tag on him is much more expensive (Drew Brees established that issue).

What would we trade for? The defense is stacked and the offense, while missing a bonafide star playmaker on the outside, has solid depth. Bowe is the only guy who is even near what we need, and I'd argue he's not, but he also comes on a 6 month lease and a giant attitude problem. If anything a guy like Jacobs might be really useful to Green Bay but would net next to nothing in return. I think we ride our success, keep the momentum going and go with the horses that got the 9ers where they are.

What I'm hoping for is at some point Jenkins (remember him?) gets good enough that he supplants Kyle Williams in the starting rotation. I am also hoping at some point James can prove himself (in practice?) enough to fight his way into the starting lineup.
