Who should we make inactive instead? And pick a player on O. Don't take a gameday spot from the defense. Who should sit? Moss? Ginn? Williams? Dixon? I think all are more valuable right now than Jacobs. Maybe sit Celek instead, but then I'd rather see Jenkins suit up. Ginn, Williams and Dixon are all a big part of special teams. Jacobs wouldn't be. Moss is a great decoy, and is probably more valuable in that role than Jacobs would be in a short yardage situation.
I'm not crapping on your idea. I'm just curious how he fits, and who else sits....

Activate his big ass. Will take out his anger on the Giants.

why. dixon is terrible
Dixon was kept because he plays on special teams, not because of his running ability.

Makes you wonder if Ballke is orchestrating a trade behind closed doors. There are several teams right now who's #1's went down that can use Jacobs.
That would suck though....was looking forward to him playing for us. He's a bruiser of a running back.

he was kept because on top of his special teams ability, but also for his running ability, run/pass blocking ability, and last but not definitely not least...his cheerleading ability...if he was one dimensional he wouldn't have made the team with the talent we have.
also CC, i don't think Harbs and Baalke would keep a terrible player on this loaded roster....and if didn't watch our 9ers play, um Dixon has a hard fought TD this year...even though he has like zero carries.

I'd rather play with 10 people and just get penalized all the way till we gotta do something else rather than play with 11 when I know that right now that person is not sold out to be apart of this team.

4-1 with the #1 rushing attack. No need to worry about what Jacobs thinks right now, he knew the depth the team had at RB before he signed.

It wouldn't surprise me if Jacobs is our best running back right now, but he can't prove it after being injured. Remember how he carved up the opposing team in the preseason game that he did play? Big back with our big line would probably mean fewer rushes for no gain. Of course, he would probably have fewer 30 yard gains than Gore or Hunter.
This is a great problem to have, but it is a challenge for JH to keep everyone happy. Let's just hope that we keep on winning. If we were to start losing, then the malcontents will come out in force.
For the record, I like Gore, and I also like Hunter. But I also like Jacobs too.
P.S. Personally, I would sit Ginn out this week, if not Celek. Let's see what we have in Jacobs.

I'm actually OK with sitting either of those guys. Believe it or not, I'm good with Williams as a return guy. He made some mistakes that cost us, but so what. We're past that now, and he's done a good job so far this year. I'd rather go without Celek though. I'd like to eventually see James and Jenkins too, but I don't see how that happens without injury to someone else.

They will probably use him at some point. They kept all these damn RB's and got rid of Colin Jones and Costanzo. Have you seen our coverage units this season?....

This is media hype. Jacobs isn't trying to cause trouble; quite the contrary. This is all about media writers looking to make headlines. Jacobs will play and will do very well for the team.
