Couldn't believe it and happy for him. He's such a down to earth classy guy. Filling Joe Nedney's shoes was going to be dang tough and Akers has done it. As long as he is making kicks I hope he stays with us until he retires.

For the record, I said in other threads that Dempsey's kick was in the Superdome. It was actually pre-Dome in 1970, so it was outdoors (Tulane I believe?).
