POLL : Is Michael Crabtree a bust?

no, his numbers have improved every year he has been in the league, thats not the sign of a bust

Yes he has improved, agreed, but for the position he was drafted, he has not lived up to it in that sense. You always hope a pick that high comes out like gang busters at least by the thrid year. You hope for a Fitz, Megatron, Rice type. If he was drafted 16 or later then it was a good pick, but he was picked higher. Then him missing TC and all in the begining didn't help with the holdout.

Exactly. In my opinion know WR is worth a top 10 pick unless it's a Calvin Johnson/Fitzgerald type. But he's not a bust. Folks taking the ducking training camp s**t to far.

You expect every receiver picked 10th or higher to turn into Larry Fitzgerald or Calvin Johnson? Those guys are once in a generation players.

Thats like saying you expect any QB picked within the top 10 to become a Tom Brady/Peyton Manning type.

A bust are you cray cray? He's been a bit of a letdown especially since he was picked at 10, but he's no bust. A bust is someone like Kentwan Balmer or Rashaun Woods.

Don't worry guys.

He's on the Alex Smith plan..just wait 3 more years and he will be average

Right now he's more on a the Vernon Davis plan. VD didn't really breakout until 2009 (drafted 2006) Crabtree drafted 2009, been 3 years now, going to his 4th this year. Their first 3 year didn't reflect their abilities and draft position of #7 and #10.

He is definently not a top ten draft pick. He is at best number 2 receiver. He cant get off of press coverage and his hands have been a huge disappointment.

Not according to Jim Harbaugh...

This.

While he is a disappointment for the most part (especially his attitude), he is not a bust. JaMarcus Russell is a bust.

Hey Dirty...If you think he is that good maybe we can trade him. What do you think he's worth to some other team???

Hopefully one of the WRs really steps up during this time and takes the starting spot away from him. Crabs is just a dependable dude as far building chemistry with the QB.

You telling that when you pick that high that you don't hope that they are worth the number they are picked at or as in the later round asteal?! I realize drafting is not an exact science, but good teams will more often than not will make their picks count. You want/hope they will be a pro bowl pick, if not then you/they need to get out of the business or else you will be perrenial celler dwellers.
