49ers bold prediction thread

There'll be one unexpected high profile cut/trade away before the start of the regular season.

The season will be a slog with fewer turnovers in favour and more injuries. We still make the playoffs, but it will be stressful to the end

We blow out more than one team in the regular season (at last)

We get blown out once in the regular season. At home .

We win at least one playoff game again.

Willis, J. Smith and A. Smith will all hit one player from different directions at the same time with such force that the crap coming out will leave a hole in his pants and a permanent divot in some indoor stadium.

Bold Predictions?

Good:

1) Randy Moss has a 750+ yard/8 TD season.

2) Alex Smith is a top 7 QB.

3) Offense carries the defense...(not saying defense will suck but it's unreasonable to expect them to duplicate last year).

Bad:

1) Gore gets injured...but the duo of LMJ and Hunter more than makes up for it.

2) We start 1-3

3) AJ Jenkins won't contribute anything outside of special teams.

The starting offense will contract a deadly virus during a team dinner after we stomp GB. Keaneu Reeves will be called in to play QB

Bold prediction .... 14-2 season, Davis catches at least 12 TD's, Crabtree catches 7 more and. Moss chips in 4 TD's. Williams gets 3 and Smith nails Sapoaga and Staley for a couple more. On the ground, Hunter proves he's more than just a backup to Gore ... Niners produce at least 12-14 TD's on the ground. Defense chips in 3 TD's and special teams is just plain great as ever for FG's and PAT's. Punting continues to be a big edge, just not as often as last year.

Ah yes, now we come to the playoffs. Familiar territory for a change. Niners roll in and roll right on the Super Bowl. Win the Lombardi Trophy and place #6 in the display case with the other 5. Sounds about right to me.
