offense has only been struggling during the red zone (vs our #1 red zone D)

everything else even including 3rd dwons they have done well

This is the great thing about training camp, there's always something to be happy about. If the offense struggles, that means the defense did great! Punt returners muffing punts? Andy Lee and the coverage unit is spot on!

Let's for get the fact we now have a MUCH BETTER coaching staff & our offense doesn't have to start from scratch in learning a new playbook.

Sound is actually the human brain recognizing patterns and wavelengths in the vibrations of matter when it hits our ear. Without the ear or brain, there is no sound... only vibration. A deaf person can still feel vibrations, but they are unable to hear them.

Also, the sky can be said to be falling everywhere constantly. It can also be said to be rising at the same time. It all depends on your definition of "sky".

It's nice when there are new things being discussed in this thread.

P.S. I have been awake for over 24 hours and started this post as my sleeping pills were kicking in. It should be amusing to read when I wake up later.

Iupati misssed practice because he just had a child. We know about Crabs I don't know what happened with Byham and I think Slowey was recovering from an injury too

Should we have trade for Mike Wallace. Will jenkins ever live up to that talent, because i now judge him to that level.... Our Offense i think will be better than last season, but still how much better, i think if the niners offeense can reach the top 15, the niners defense can do the rest and take us to the superbowl...

Captain Comeback didn't pull of a miracle at the end of today's #49ers practice, but he did reduce grown men to tears. During a two-minute drill, QB Josh Johnson spiked the ball and Jim Harbaugh called for the second-string, field-goal team. Harbaugh was the kicker, assistant special teams coach Tracy Smith was the holder and the call was for a fake. At the snap, Harbaugh, 48, who desperately needs hip-replacement surgery, hobbled hard to his right and Smith pitched the ball over his head to Harbaugh, who gathered in the slightly off-the-mark toss and then crashed, hard, to the turf. As his players roared with laughter, Harbaugh remained on the ground for several seconds before rising with a smile and ending practice. No word on if he's working through something as a result of his faceplant.

Despite having second and third team offenses, the backup QBs still rotated in doing drills. There wasn't any clear separation between Kaepernick, Johnson and Tolzien. Perrish Cox struggled in one-on-one coverage. Culliver looked solid in coverage. He didn't allow a reception. A.J. Jenkins made some solid catches in 7-on-7 drills. He was really good in short routes specifically.

Make no mistake, this hasn't been a hit-and-giggle TC. Harbaugh has maintained highly structured, disciplined practices. With Iupati out for a second straight practice, Leonard Davis lined up as the first-string LG. RG Alex Boone returned from Friday's absence. Alex Smith hooked up with Vernon Davis and Walker a couple times, but that's nothing new. This was: Smith threw a TD pass to Randy Moss in the back of the end zone with Rogers in tight coverage. Moss, earlier, failed to snag a Johnson pass in the end zone while Mosley knocked it free. Manningham made a nice catch of a Tolzien pass that Culliver tried to intercept. Dobbs rolled out to catch a Smith TD pass.
