I read an article that says the media is required to be allowed inside, but no fans due to construction,,,,

Is that right? I've also read that nothing is open to the media...

"Once the veterans report to camp, their practices are required to be open to the media. Because of stadium construction around the team's practice facility, only one practice is scheduled to be open to the general public (Aug. 12 at Candlestick Park)."

According to Terry Bradshaw and a couple of other announcers, Williams rans very good patterns and was a good receiver. He ran outs and slants as well as anyone on the team and showed good form on his catches. He made his mistakes fielding kicks, but that's a situation he didn't ask for. He worked hard during the off season and looked sharp during OTA's. He'll be in the starting lineup when the season opens.

it worked, but lucky that after Staley dove too early that he raised his legs.

if he would stayed face down it was an easy hurdle for the DB

I call that assertion preposterous. Look at it closely. Staley was horizontal and his legs never lifted higher than his torso until Harper was already stumbling over him. There was nothing to call. Pretty clear that Joe didn't kick-up his legs. Try running and throwing yourself to the ground in that same fashion. What do you think happens? Think your legs don't rise a little from the turf after your backside hits the ground?

... better yet. Try pausing it at that 11 second mark. Harper, on his own accord, did a bit of a leap to avoid the momentum of Joe's lower half sliding. Staley's heals were pretty much touching grass, though his knees were raised a few inches up. As Harper hopped to avoid, Joe's legs were already sliding in that momentum as Joe's dive was already executed prior to Harper's hop.

Sad day when such a non-call in our favor has to be criticized like this.
