You can tell which members actually played football. These are helmet covers (in college we called them helmet condoms). Most NFL teams don't wear them because they don't have two-way players and can just use different jersey colors for defense and offense (red v white), but for this practice where you can see offensive players playing defense (likely doing special teams) you wear these helmet covers to differentiate the offense and defense. In this case defense is wearing the covers. No contact is generally indicated by an over mesh jersey which is different colored than all other jerseys (generally bright red).
Well I figured out what was going on but I actually did play football (high school but still, something) and never had anyone wear those.

Preseason games mean ****, but based on what I've seen of just about every team so far, those "fluff" training camp articles are complete bull s**t!

over react much? Replacement officials, we pulled our starters long before they did, plenty of reasons why tonight looked busted as hell.

I was sure Aldon would miss more time than this, but glad he's back to some extent at least. Of all the LB, he needs the most work to catch up to the position.
