fan fest?

I noticed that they are charging fans to this event this year. My question is that has it always been like that? I understand that the team has to find ways to build the stadium, but if the team has been charging loyal fans just to gain access is kinda wrong imo.
They did not charge last year.

However, it is only $5 with kids being free. And a portion of the proceeds go to the 49ers Foundation. So whatever.
It was free for everyone when I went a couple years back. Still way worth whatever they charge $5 or something to go into the locker rooms and on the field. And I guess this year there is a full on practice on the field.
Complaining about $5, especially when the proceeds aren't even necessarily going to the 49ers? The proceeds are funding some kid program or something, not the stadium.

It's $5...

Ya, I was going to say. You don't get to go into the locker rooms or on the field.

Oh? Maybe I went to something else then? I think it was actually called Family Day and it was in late June I think. Anyway, I went into the locker rooms (the old SF Giants locker room and the old 49ers locker room)
just $5, and i look at it as a donation to our franchise. Whose going? i want to reserve my ticket but the only diehard 49er fan i know is my brother and he is flaky on these kind of things and i dont want to end up driving up to SF from LA alone =/
Got my tickets. I have my daughter coming too, and it says I don't need to buy a ticket for her since she is under 12, but how does the seat system work out if I'm not buying a ticket?

There are no defined seats. Most of the day you just walk around. Then when practice starts just go to the stands and sit anywhere.
gotta cover that court-frozen $30M that SC county tried to steal somehow...
I bought 3 tickets
Can't wait we are rolling deep from L.A.
I really want to go but my sons youth football team has their "jamboree" weigh-in and pre-season scrimmage that day . . .
