This is what I think will happen or should I say hope will happen. Either way this would make for an exciting year.

Weirder things have happened, like the 49ers making it to the NFC championship game with a new coach no OTAs. It could happen.

So your saying smith is going to have a record breaking year?

Why not. If I told you last year that Aldon Smith was going to have 14 sack in his rookie year you would have called me a dreamer then. He has more weapons than he can throw to and continuity in a great system. That spells greatness. This thread is all about what could be if you can't handle stepping out side the box a little there are a lot of other thread to read.

I Think Kaepernick is going to have a breakout season. He is on the far left in this picture.

Maybe in 2015 you will be right.
Offense:
Good chance
Anthony Davis -- Still young, with tons of physical ability.
LaMichael James -- We will use him early.
Might happen
Alex Smith -- I think he has it in him.
Colin Kaepernick -- In case of injury, I could see him breaking out.

Defense:
Good chance
Aldon Smith -- For various reasons, at least in the national media, people are kind of sleeping on him. Next season, they will be wide awake.
Chris Culliver -- In case of injury, could make a name for himself taking some chances behind our monster pass rush.

I think McDonald, Brooks etc, already have strong reputations in the league.

I think he will break out too, then he will get some cortizone ointment and all will be well. Jock itch is a mofo I'd be willing to bet.

Crabtree is definitely someone to watch this year as a few other people have mentioned. He's finally healthy, he's been participating in all the off season programs, and he's playing in the same offensive system. Not to mention, defenses will have their hands full with all our new acquisitions, which should free up Crabtree and give him more opportunities. I know his first few years were pretty rough, but if you consider all the factors that hindered his progress, he was still able to make decent contributions and put up solid numbers for this team. Another player that most of you probably won't consider having a break out year is Vernon Davis. He's definitely put together some really good seasons already, but I think he's poised to have his best year and we're going to see him play at an even higher level, which is pretty scary to imagine. Vernon finished the post-season unbelievably strong. He put up 292 yards and 4 touchdowns in just 2 games compared to the regular season, where he was able to pull in 792 yards and 6 TDs in 16 games. As I mentioned earlier, with all the new off season signings, Vernon's going to see a lot less double teams and have more opportunities to make plays.
Alex Boone another player to look out for.

LMJ and Boone..If the line can stay healthy and Boone outplays Rachal/Snyder then it should be pretty nasty. Not to mention all the talent we have at RB now. Defenses are going to be running everywhere.
Crabtree could possibly break out b/c he does seem healthy finally but you never know how long good health will last. I worry about Vernon with his brothers troubles that might be a big distractor. Hard to say. Can't say Aldon. He all ready broke out. Unless he doubles his #s from last year. hehe. I wouldn't put it past him to beat his sack total!

He'll have more--you didn't count his passing TDs.
