Alex Smith -- I think he has it in him.
Colin Kaepernick -- In case of injury, I could see him breaking out.

Defense:
Good chance
Aldon Smith -- For various reasons, at least in the national media, people are kind of sleeping on him. Next season, they will be wide awake.
Chris Culliver -- In case of injury, could make a name for himself taking some chances behind our monster pass rush.

I think McDonald, Brooks etc, already have strong reputations in the league.

I agree with you about Anthony Davis. He played really well later in the 2011 season. I think he will be one of the better tackles in the league in 2012.

Don't know about L. James. He will be a role player with limited touches. I think his impact will be minimal.

As for Alex Smith, last year he broke-out and elevated himself from a 1st round bust to a serviceable starter. In his second year in the same offense with new weapons at WR, I expect him to break-out again and elevate himself from a serviceable starter into one of the top 10 QBs in the league. With a much tougher schedule our defense will be tested week-in and week-out. Our success will depend on our offense's ability to put up 30+ points per game.

Kyle Williams

I could see this........if he makes the team that is.

haha. I was going to say Kyle Williams as well. Alot of people forget that he also has 4.3 speed and he's been on the rise. With MOss and Davis drawing attention, he'll definitely end burning some defenders on the post. I mite be mistaken, but wasnt his 56yrd TD (52YAC) on the rams our longest pass play to a reciever of the season?(not including the Ginn TD in baltimore)

Kendall Hunter would be my 2nd choice. Im sure he's tired of everyone thinkin he's only an "change of pace" back plus I think he's going to see the ball alot more.

Crabs (Please)
Aldon (think he will play more and hopefully just as effective)

Ummm... Frank's breakout year was '06. You're a little late to the party on that one.
