Here is a schedule.... sounds like 8 days until the 1st players report but that might be a meeting or something for Saturday and Sunday. Then it starts Monday which is 10 days but either way it's almost here.

Saturday, July 21: 49ers rookies and selected veterans report for training camp

Monday, July 23: First practice for 49ers rookies and selected veterans

Thursday, July 26: Veterans report for 49ers training camp

Friday, July 27: First 49ers full-squad practice

Tuesday, Aug. 28: Roster cutdown from 90 to maximum of 80 players.

Sept. 2: Roster cutdown to 53 players.

Sept. 3: Teams may establish eight-player practice squads.

This said so much about Steve Young. Giving his all to keep the winning tradition of the 49ers going and clawing his way out of the Montana shadow.
