Looks like the "franchise QB" didnt get invited to the ground breaking.
From 5 to 6:30 p.m. tonight, an invitation-only groundbreaking will take place next to the 49ers' facility for the $1.2 billion stadium. The proceedings will be streaming live on 49ers.com. Local television stations also might be offering live coverage. The 30-minute program begins at 6 p.m.
Among those on hand from the 49ers will be CEO Jed York, coach Jim Harbaugh, linebacker Patrick Willis, tight end Vernon Davis and former players Roger Craig, Dwight Clark, Guy McIntyre, Keena Turner and Eric Wright. Ted Robinson will serve as the emcee.
Also expected to attend are Mayor of Santa Clara Jamie Matthews and former mayor Patricia Mahan, Miss Santa Clara Caitlin Hoemmelmeyer, and the Santa Clara Stadium Authority which includes members of the Santa Clara city council.
