Anyone but Smith!

say that after this next year if we dont repeat well in the playoffs... u dont dump a QB when u were 13-3 hosting the NFC championship and you LOST to the superbowl winners in OT... get overyourself
Alex.

I wouldn't give him the moon because we failed to land Peyton but he's our best option going forward.
The best guy suited for the job
Let Tolzien and Kap battle it out.

I'm confused, are you saying that this years' draft class is too strong to give up our first?
Tolzien.

Cap room isn't a problem with signing Wallace. 49ers could have Smith and Wallace if they want. The bigger issue is giving up a 1st round pick on a WR with no solid QB to get him the ball.

I'm saying this year's draft is strong in WRs. Grab a guard and pick up a couple WRs. We'll be fine.
anyone else find CK a bit annoying with how much he talks about wanting to be the starter? why doesn't he just shut up and let his play/practice speak for itself
Nothing against Smith but I would rather see a different style of QB play for the 9ers.

For sure, or we could pick up Geoff Shwartz, sign Wallace, and draft Steeter in the 2nd

Alex Smith! Why does the $ matter? It's not your money anyway. It's not like any of the 3 are going to break the bank so the $ factor becomes irrelevant.
