Could you produce what he did at your job and still have one? I just want them to move on, for the good or bad. How many people said Hunter, Davis, Culliver, etc were not ready? We will never know until Colin is given a fair chance.
This- I just want to move from the Alex era already...
I agree also. Alex should be thanking our def and special teams unit

For those who seem quite comfortable to move on to Kap and/or Tolzien, I want you to temper your enthusiasm with the following question:
Out of over 100 QBs darfted during the last ten years, how many QBs drafted in the 2nd round or later have shown themselves to be franchise or elite QBs? Kap was the 6th QB drafted last year.
How many who were the 6th QB drafted or later have shown themselves to be franchise or elite? You are going to have to go back 12 years to find Tom Brady (7th one chosen that year). Frankly gentlemen, history is not on your side.
Is it possible? Yes, but not likely. The great Walsh drafted six QBs after Montana. As great a QB coach as he was, how many do you remember?

Smith. Guy has earned the $8mil/yr and another year or two with Harbaugh after last season. Kaep will still be there if it doesn't work out with Smith again, but all signs point to Smith improving - age, 2011 performance, better WRs, etc.

IMO have Smith sign a 3 year contract, however the problem is Smith now understands that he will get 1 more year of playing time but after that he will have to battle Kap, possible FA and Tolzien for the job. So the question is do we get the Smith who pulled off the New Orleans come from behind victory along with 5 other come from behind victories and a Smith who improves with OTA's etc., or are we getting the Smith who is he going to go back to being afraid of making mistakes?
The other huge question that must be answered has Smith lost complete trust with Harbaugh and is he feeling like his team mates have lost respect for him because of mangments attempt to get Manning or when things cool down will he be analytical enough to recognize the team had the chance to have 1 of the best QB's who ever played the game?

Now if he doesn't I believe he's gone but are you haters seriously rooting for Smtih to fail?

I think the rest of the NFL see's him as a serviceable guy but never going to be anything great. So, there are ALex Haters that just think he sucks and then there are people that just want to move on because Alex is never going to be that good. The rest of the team seems perfect in almost every position. The QB just seems average. I don't want to lose but I would rather roll the dice and see if Kaep or Tolzien can be great...
After we came so close to the Super Bowl you want to "roll the dice" ?????????
We just had our greatest season in almost 20 years. Lets get a full off season under our belts and go get us a ring
