Don't see how he imporves us much. You need a "Manning" for proper ball placement to make him look good IMO. I don't think he would help Alex much. He would look completely covered to Alex.
those 3 things are not true...
6'0" 185 lbs is not small.
His career yards-per-catch is 14.5...don't know any slow WR's who have averaged that.
He has never had a problem gaining seperation, and he does it mostly from the outside, not the slot.

Someone's an optimist.
Are you at all surprised?
Well I wanted a big and fast WR. This is not that guy. Yes we got Moss. But he is old and has knee problems. And "he plays when he wants to play." So not sure how much we can count on him.

It's said that he has arthritic knees. That's why the Patroits gave up on him. They don't think he can hold up anymore.
The Pats gave up on him because he lashed out at the media. He was gone the next day.
Good try though. You're simply speculating.
It was reported on ESPN. So they are the ones "speculating." He's 35 and has some wear and tear. Plus a year off of football. We are not getting the 25 year old Randy Moss. Not sure why that's hard for people to understand?

Indeed, this guy was looking for a Josh Morgan deal, was getting close to signing a big contract with the Rams but pulled out at the last minute... what changed this guys mind? -Is he really playing for peanuts knowing Alex Smith will be throwing to him?
Something doesn't add up.
I thought he was a done deal with the Rams. Did he sign for less with us? What changed so much?....
Yeah, all I kept hearing about on ESPN was how Mario was going to get a Josh Morgan type of deal, and that 'it was imminent' almost every 5 minutes it flashed this afternoon (4 years with a front-loaded contract).
What changed his mind?
What's going on? This is really odd. I thought he was off the market.

Let there be no doubt...Harbaalke's pretty awesome. I've been targeting Manningham since the SB...and now he's a Niner. Definitely gives Peyton more to think about. Moss, Crabtree, Manningham...add Fleener, a top OG, good RB (my faves are Doug Martin & Robert Turbin) and our offense should be pretty darn good.

I'll say it again. Who is going to return kicks and punts for this team? I like the signing but I was hoping for Ginn to return. It might still happen but I doubt it. Any ideas?
We're just one week into free agency. Still plenty of time to find a Punt returner. Ginn might just return because his value isn't exactly high as a receiver. The lions were only interested in him as a 4th WR/PR.

Well I worked at the NFL Network in 2010 and was working on Total Access when this happened. There were NO reports during that time about Randy Moss' physical condition when he was released. I know because I was there.
Randy wanted a new contract. The Pats weren't receptive. This press conference happened after a game early in that season (too lazy to research the week, I believe week 3 or 4). The day after this presser he was cut.
Remember the one-handed catch he had over Revis? That happened during this season, a week or so before this presser.
And who had the leg issues on this play? Revis!
Look man, I know Moss isn't 25 and a young man anymore, but this Moss-durability thing you are trying to sell has no legs whatsoever.

They said it on ESPN. I didn't do the story. Watch TV and you can hear it too.... Just saying what they said. I'm not his doctor. I don't know if that's the case. It was reported. He is 35. 3 teams gave up on him. He hasn't played football in 1 year. We thought Braylon Edwards would be great too. But look how knee problems and injuries made him completely useless. People were excited as heck about Braylon last year. Just saying there is no guarantee it works out. I'm glad to have him personally. But I could see where physically he doesn't have it anymore as a possibility. And I could also see where he checks out mentally completely after a few bad Alex Smith passes. Randy Moss is no guarantee both physically or mentally.

too bad we didn't load up last year
didnt help that last yr we had a rookie coach and rookie gm leading a team that hasnt done crap in like 8 yrs, getting players to come here was difficult and we wouldve had to over pay
