It was in the NFL. Not counting college.
Edit: NVM forgot he coached the Jags.
My stats still stand.

expansion team. the next year they went 9-7 and played in the AFC championship game.
he's a good coach, man. Harbaugh is better, right now, IMO, but Coughlin is no slouch.

Whats the difference between an expansion team and a team installing a completely new system with completely new staff and no offseason?
The difference is our coach is better.

a team like ours had talent already and an expansion team lacks a lot of talent made with players other teams dont want, coughlin is a hell of a coach regardless

Coughlin is a good coach but he was not better than harbaugh in the first year of his career, period.

Yea I think Coughlin is a good coach. And how bout we let JH coach at least a whole season before comparing him to guys' with 10 plus years in the league. Hope the camera is ready to zoom in on Rolle when he's either getting ran over or beat for a TD.

no1 said coughlin is a bad coach, we are just saying what harbaugh did this year is simply amazing. 90% of my friends are giant fans, and over half of them were saying its time to move on from coughlin just over a month ago

If Coughlin was such a great coach, his team would have more wins during the regular season. He's a good coach, don't get me wrong. But I would never call him great. Tony Dungy won a ring too, but I would never call him a great head coach.
