Guess this answers my curiosity.. i was thinking about this lately... let defense set the tone early. It's worked all season long.

Let the Saints receive, then we set the tone with our defense. If we're up at the half, and Saints try to make halftime adjustments, we set the tone again with our defense adjustments in the second half.

Choose to kick. That way the defense can score at the beginning of each half.
