.. This does not bode well. I am greatly concerned that it looks like we'll be on our 10th offensive coordinator.

If he leaves it's one thing. But if he doesn't finish out the season here then he can EAD!!!
I don't know why he would leave in the middle of the playoffs. He seems like a smart enough guy to know that's not a good idea.

If he gets the job there's no way he leaves before the season ends.

calm yourselves. This would be a big deal if we did not have harbaugh. i am more than ok with letting this ride cuz i know this coach will have a plan.Over the last ten years the niners and coaches have never had a plan(well maybe nolan did) and a coach like harbaugh knows that if you stand still you are losing ground and he is not one to set around playing checkers. i trust he already has a plan in place should roman exit.for the first time since siefert was here, i am totally fine with turning the keys over to the head coach cuz i trust him.W e have the head of the rattle snake and that is so much more important than the tail

Whoever takes that Penn State job would take it immediately. They have to recruit. No way could they afford to wait on a guy for another 3 weeks while they make a playoff run./
Not sure what roman will do but it's apparent he's going to get his shot to be a head coach soon. Even in Harbaugh was still at Stanford having success Roman would be on a lot of guy's list.

IDK . . . stepping back it's hard to envision Roman being the guy they pick to succeed a coaching legend . . . even a disgraced one. Nothing personal against Roman, but I think they'll go with somebody with more gravitas.

Harrison said Roman—who came to the 49ers from Stanford along with coach Jim Harbaugh last year—was offered the Tulane job to replace Bob Toledo
Tulane hired someone else

so true. If we get someone with name recognition or who does a decent job, they get snatched up as a HC elsewhere the next year. If we get someone who doesn't have those qualities, they get fired and replaced. Rinse and repeat.

Roman is the one coordinator that I'm ok with losing, but I still hope we don't lose him.
