I don't think an off season will do anything

Why?

What is with our fans. Top teams have to play top competition. So in your opinion the only way we can be good is if we play the lower level teams of the league? So I guess we will never be good then.
After watching the Giants and Packers this year, I dont care what our schedule is as long as we get into the playoffs.

Because his little heart was broken after the Giants game.

And you don't think having a full offseason to fully implement the west coast offense will help at all? Not saying we are going to light it up next year but I expect the offense to take a huge step forward.

49ERS 2012 OPPONENTS
Home
Arizona
St. Louis
Seattle
Chicago
Detroit
Buffalo
Miami
NFC East winner (N.Y. Giants or Dallas)

Away
Arizona
St. Louis
Seattle
Green Bay
Minnesota
New England
New York Jets
NFC South winner (New Orleans or Atlanta)

Exactly this, except I think it's possible we beat Arizona away too. Home schedule looks good, and we should sweep it, but I expect around a .500 record on the road.

What happened this year that has given you hope that it will?

Why was it so hard to install two or one more play each week this season?

What have you seen different from they way he ran Stanfords O compared to the running of this years O?
Lets give this team and the players some credit for next year before putting an 8-8 or 10-6 ceiling on them. NO ONE thought they were capable of 13-3 coming into this year. If you think you know how they will be next year at this moment chances are good you will be wrong.

Man, the offseason. You can say just about anything. The team isn't playing and the players aren't performing to prove any of this valid or not.

I really do hope Coach has more up his sleeve. But, I'm just going by from what I've seen at Stanford and his first year on the 9ers and so far it's been similar.
I ain't scurred.

Meh. We do this every offseason. There is no predicting this schedule. It doesn't matter if we have a first place schedule.

Half of the "top" teams will become mediocre or worse, and half the mediocre teams will become good. There is no telling which teams will become which.

It happens every season.

alex smith will always hold this offense back a bit

yes he improved and will continue to improve because of the offseason, but he is so robotic he needs reps with every receiver in order to complete passes to them, he has 0 feel for the game or other players.

Offense should be better but it won't be what I want until we have a better QB
The away non-division games are brutal! Ouch!
