Most negotiations are far apart when they start. Goldson will be a Niner. Bank on it. Carlos is the one I'm worried about.

When it comes down to it, i doubt it. He's gonna follow the money and rightfully so.

LOL I'm already ready for his 'angry tweets' the moment Rogers gets re-signed (with Goldson thinking he isn't coming back).

Dason Goldson linked this article from his twitter account

I lol'd at this part
Goldson is likely to command the highest safety contract in league history this offseason—or at least if I was his agent, I'd be looking for such a deal. That's bad news for any team looking to acquire this particular player's services.

He wants to get overpaid. Wouldn't you want to most money to do whatever you do for a profession?

With that said, I'd love to see a study regarding who makes more in the long run; The player who gets way "over paid" in a fluff contract or the guy who gets a reasonable contract and plays it through? Gore's probably made pretty decent money having his reasonable contracts rather than getting a big deal that would of got his ass bounced a long time ago. Just a thought.

Safety franchise money is only 6.2 million. I would say there is a 99% chance we use the franchise tag on him. He's going to be here, making 6.2 million, with a frown on his face if he must.

With a 6.2 million tag, you'd think the team would work something out first, and worst case they use the tag.
