Marshawn Lynch is undoubtedly playing the best football of his life right now, and has arguably been the best running back in the league for the better part of 2 months. The 49ers run defense hasn't allowed a 100-yard rusher in 36 games, and no rushing touchdowns in the season's first 14 games. Is Marshawn Lynch a threat to end these records come Saturday? Why or why not?

Lynch vs the top rush defenses that he has played
vs 49ers 13 carries 33 yards
vs Pitt 6 carries 11 yards
vs ATL 8 carries for 24 yards
vs Cin 16 carries 24yards
vs Dallas 23 carries for 135 yards
vs Bal 32 carries 109 yards
vs Chi 20 carries for 42 yards

Thats what he has done against teams top 10 in run defense

118 carries for 378 yards and 3.2 ypc average

I think thats the best thing to do. No need in rushing him back especially since grant is playing well so far

Nice post

We really need to stuff this guy like we do and force Tarvaris Jackson to throw the ball. Not to hijack your thread but looks like Mike Williams got pretty banged up last week and I think Sidney Rice is out so I like our secondary vs their Wrs...

He didn't kill us a few weeks ago and he was heating up. We absolutely stuffed McCoy when we played Philly in week 4 and he was the best runner in football then. Needless to say, I'm not worried about this.

He won't get 60 yards on the ground, and I doubt he get's in the end zone.

They might shut our O down, but they won't be able to score on us either.

We'll make enough plays to win this game, 12-3
