A good portion of the US had the Detroit/Bears game.
Just as they location location location in real estate-time slot and the teams that were paired make it big. Plus things like someone said-no NBA. East Coast vs. West Coast. Big Media Markets, but most of all, people knew that with these two teams, if the game is close they both can win it in the 4th. It was always only a touchdown away except for the one brief moment, then it was back within a TD. Every play and non play crucial. As a viewer rooting for neither team-this is the kind of game you want to see. As a fan of one, you couldn't pull away even though at times you want to turn your head when something didn't go right.

If we are lucky to get there, it depends on who we play. Not saying these teams get there, like the Jets, it will make it East vs. West with big markets. Another play would be Harbaugh vs Harbaugh II - big brother vs. little brother. Anything else will get smaller ratings I think.

SB has theie audience that don't even really care for football and tune in simply for the commercials or because it is a good excuse to have a party
