They're tied, and it's only because B comes before S.

I think NFL.com is just placing the Ravens/Niners tied @ #2 because it'll create some kind of hype for the 49ers vs Ravens thanksgiving game on NFL Network.

I think we need to stop all this disrespect talk. We're ranked #2!!! And fairly unanimously at that if you check all the power rankings. We are getting the respect and we're no longer under the radar. The discussion around lack of highlights on ESPN is due to our style pf play, not anything else. And the Alex Smith discussion has been beaten to death ... several times. Let's just enjoy the magical season.

WTF! and of course, we're BELOW the ravens!![]()

yeah seriously!!!!!!!!!. You think we should be better than the ravens right now? As far as im concerned baltimores qb is better than our. On top of that if it wasnt for the strip of the ball by justin smith against philly we probably lose that game. They were driving and field goal range was in their sights. Maybe they miss the field goal maybe they dont. Point is we could easily be 6-2. Lets see how we do against ny, pitt and balt before we really start caring about the rankings. We lose sunday we will drop to 5 or 6. You going to b***h about that also. Give me a break.

Well if you dig a little deeper you will notice that all of their 'experts' have the niners in the top 3, most at 2 except for one whome put them at 5. The same one that seems to have a real axe to grind for the 49ers. JASON LA CANFORA, he really does seem to lack objectivity here. I can understand 3, but 5?. Being that this is a cumulative point total setup, any realistic ranking of the niners from him would have broken the tie. Sorta reminds me of the Olympics when one judge is clearly skewing the scores. Awe well, not like it's the BCS where voting counts. The only thing that really matters is W's and the niners are owning it in that department.

As far as Flacco being better than Alex is true if you your counting all the years up until now. Alex is outperforming Flacco and Flacco has way better targets to throw to, plus they've been in the same system and have been healthy. You're complaining about a game we won vs the Eagles. Reallly?

we're gonna look back on these days of being underrated and miss them, once u have a bullseye on you every team comes at u hard. as a detroit pistons fan i know this well, we flew under the radar for sometime and it was great then we win a title and all of a sudden the charlotte bobcats are playing the 13th game of the season like its game 7 of the nba finals, honestly appreciate these days while we have them
