It'd be best for him to try and get it before Arizona and St. Louis upgrade their O-lines, and before Seattle's investments stay healthy. The way things are going, he could get 5 sacks a game every time we match up against a divisional opponent.

lol a 20 sack guy? the record is 22.5. If he reaches 20 sacks even once in his career itd be incredible.
i think he could be a 12-15 sack guy on a regular basis.

Lets hope he gets one sack a game for the next 9 games and that would give him 15.5 sacks and a new rookie record. But at least the defense has to plan for him. So if Smith and Smith tie up a lot of blockers then Brooks/Bowman/Willis and MacDonald/RJF could get a lot of sacks. In either case I don't really care as long as we win.

Potentilly YES! But he doesn't play every down so his opportunities are less ti it that figure.

In the future, maybe.
Funny though, we might see 2 guys get 20 this year. Jared Allen already has 12.5, and Ware is right behind with 12. It isn't crazy to think they could each get 8 sacks to finish out the season. Allen has 8 games left to play, while Ware has 9.

Is it a coincidence that Aldon can be spelled using the letters in Doleman?

For the record, it has only happened 7 times in the history of the NFL (and only one person under 26 has accomplished this feat), so......no

Shouldn't posters do a bit of research before asking questions like, "Will Frank Gore run for 2500 yards this year? or "Will Justin Smith make 200 tackes this seaon?"
Ok. Do you think that he can get to 20 sacks? And be among this elite group? Just a? Man, no need to get bent outta shape.

I voted yes because MadDog is wrong so often, it seems like the safest bet to go with the opposite of whatever he says.

Whoa!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Every player goes through peaks and valleys. Aldon will hit a valley sooner or later but that doesn't mean he isn't capable of it.

this.
even with guys like Ware and Allen on pace to have ridiculous seasons, its unlikely that both will A) break the record or even B) get 20 sacks. Its really hard to do.
