That's just stupid right there, anybody who watches niner games knows that Willis has been covering TEs much more this year then previous seasons. His coverages have shut down opposing TEs.
I like Bowman but he's not at Willis level just yet.
He's not even close...this is a situation somewhat similar to VD under Nolan...because we are asking Willis to cover TEs his stats are suffering. When have you ever seen Bowman in coverage this year?
Bowman gets free reigns while Willis does the stuff that won't show up in the stat sheet.
I love Bowman and he's playing phenomenal football but he's no Patrick Willis.
Willis: 54 tackles, 7 pass defended, 1 Forced Fumble, 1 sack = 100 percent BadAss
Bowman: 68 tackles, 4 pass defended, 0 Forced Fumbles, 0 sacks = Willis Sidekick

I love bowman, but Willis has been the best player on the best defense in the league. The guy makes this s**t click

If people would learn how to spell correctly then we wouldn't be having these thread title misunderstandings.
Regarding Peter King's assessments, let's just say I'd feel more comfortable believing a 3rd grader's take on the matter.

Bowman is nobody's sidekick. He's perfect the way he is.

In fact, I'll take the opposite point of view. I don't think the Packers or Saints are built to beat a team like the 49ers in the playoffs.
In January, throwing the ball 50 times with a sieve of a defense will not win you games. Controlling the trenches on both sides of the ball and winning the turnover battle is what wins games.
The Packers and Saints will be fighting an upfield battle should they visit San Francisco in January.
To play devil's advocate though, only a team with a high powered passing game will be able to beat us.

If the rams of all teams can destroy the saints then the niners wouldn't have much trouble, our front seven is better and our defense as a whole is much better than the rams, analysts need to wake up and realize what the niners are capable of.

Damn sus! Are u serious? Where are you reading that I said he is better? I'm just saying I'll take Bowman being a mid-season top ILB...
Everyone of us knows P Willy is the heart, soul, and destruction of that defense (plus J. Smith).

No Chico Im not talking about you bro. I was calling King stupid for taking Bowman over Willis. To me it just looks like King is reading stats and maybe watching a few plays here and there.

Defense wins Super Bowls, and quite frankly I believe we have the best in the league right now. I might be biased to some extent because I watch them every sunday, but the numbers support it.
The Pats defense is trash right now and the Packers is pretty good.

i find it hard to believe Aldon Smith wont beat out Von Miller and its also hard to believe the best ILB in the game didnt make all pro. Patrick Willis will make it for sure, tackle totals dont make an all pro, even tho willis has plenty of those too, passes defensed are huge and a number of other things. Willis is a lock, as always.

Willis is my favorite Niner, but Justin Smith has been the best player on our D to this point this season. He's a man amongst boys. Smith has been a large part of Aldon's success, and thru week 6 had applied more pressure on QB's than anyone in the league.

Pleasantly surprised to see 4 PDs for Bowman...still, I feel like I see him in coverage much less than Willis.
Nonetheless, your conclusion is spot on: Willis = 100% BadAss
