Pretty big smack down on Housh and Chambers. Passed over for Swain! Gotta suck for them.

Probably didn't want to be the 5th receiver (when Edwards comes back).

My buddy here at work, Packer fan of course, was just saying this morning, "you guys should pick up Swain". And I was like "who?". lol He says he liked Swain last year but couldn't crack the GB lineup so they cut him right away hoping he'd latch on with someone else.

Not only that, but how in the heck did you Manage to find and post this within ten minutes of the news? Some of you truly amaze me. My computer skills suck in comparison.

He is the offensive version of Phillip Adams. Showed allot of promise, got injured and fell victim to a numbers game at the end of the day.

Key contributions he brings:
1) No ego and will be apart of Special teams
2) part of a championship team culture
3) has been in game plan meetings for the packers against detroit last year
4) familiar with the WCO and could provide insight to Harbaugh about different strategies McCarthy employs in the Packers offense

Gotta remember this is primarily a band-aid till Braylon gets back, but if he latches on and contributes then the more competent WR's the merrier.

He'll be our poor man's Wes Welker. Championship.

I think they're thinking about long term implications by not calling Hastings up. if they call him up now, no ps eligibility next year I believe, and morgan would be presumably back by then with a new contract.
signing him makes sense. TJ or Chamber wouldnt have jumped over williams or ginn in the line up. this guy can play ST and has west coast offense experience.
The poor mans Jordy Nelson?

They had to sign one of these young players because vets like TJ and Chambers probably wont want to play on special teams.
