some players do exactly that. that's why its an assumption. citing his desire as a positive trait and a reason that he should or could become our #1 RB relies completely on your assumption that his level of desire is equal to the desire you assume he has. If anything, one could argue that over his career Frank Gore has exhibited the "most desire" of any player on our team. Does Hunter have more desire than Frank Gore?
my point is that Hunter's Hunger (dibs on that for a restaurant name, and/or porn name) is a silly thing that I've seen pop up in several threads, and I don't know where people are seeing this.
Its also about skill and i think at this point, especially with gore hurt, i think hunter is better. Its been shown that hunter is better so far this season.

Gore's contract requires him to play at a high level to even sniff any of that money.

Just curious, where can I look to or do you have a link to confirm this?

Gore's new contract includes no risks for 49ers

Thanks.
From that article it seems that it would be in Gore's best interest to remain healthy and productive since the 9ers can opt out of the contract at the end of the 2012 season.

no problem. and yeah, the deal is structured in a way that Gore really has to play to get it. There is no reason for him to "lose his hunger" now because of the contract.

What would be wrong with that?

He'll start the game because he's a captain. But he'll roll that ankle for sure on the third or fourth play and it's going to be KENDALL TIME!
Hope the kid makes the most of it.
