Baalke said it kind of weird. He said he was day to day but when the radio host asked if that meant the MRI was negative, Baalke said he wouldn't discuss it through the media.

Me too. I wish we had Braylon for a full game yesterday, we would all be singing a different tune if he and/or Crabs were in there a full game.

I didn't even know Braylon was hurt until I logged back on to the zone after coming home from watching the game.

Too many Cowgirl fans in front of you to see the game, huh?

Crabtree expected to play against bungles
Quote:Baalke, speaking on his weekly radio show, also said the 49ers expect receiver Michael Crabtree to be available for Sunday's game against the Cincinnati Bengals. Crabtree sat out the 49ers' 27-24 overtime loss to the Dallas Cowboys on Sunday with a left foot injury.

They never showed a play where an injury occured. Just noticed he wasn't out on the field anymore.
On the injury note Dallas got banged up good yesterday. Romo's ribs, Witten has some rib issues, Austin has some health issue, Jones has a seperated shoulder and a few others. All the talk radio here in DFW is worried if Austin and Witten will be able to play.
Maybe we'll make them go on a skid. Something to be happy about right?

Word to the wise: Don't rely on the GM for an injury prognosis. Baalke is going to spin the injury any way he sees fit.
The use of the phrase "day to day" is nebulous and can mean anything. His unwillingness to discuss the details is what is the red flag. His mention of Crabtree is an attempt to deflect from the subject.
The need for an MRI itself is biggest red flag of all....it is almost a guarantor of some type of ligament damage...the question is usually how much (to what degree) is the damage, and to what ligament. If the player is walking around on their own power, it's a good sign that it isn't an ACL or a PCL (very rare).
Reading between the lines...it's probably a 1st degree sprain of the MCL (most common ligament injury). On average, those injuries don't require surgery, but rest for 2 to 4 weeks.
