"alex had a 99.1 qb rating in this game if the coaches get conservative and play scared dont blame alex we had a 1st down on the 22 yrd line with 11minutes left in the game the coaches decided to decline the penalty and take the 3 point instread of keeping foot on the gas petal and trying to get the TD that would have won the game for us its shows a lack off confidence in the entire offense bad playcalling cost us this game period"
Now if they had a QB they believed in wouldn't you think they would have taken the penalty? If they had a QB that was lighting up the
defense would they have settled for the 3 points?

Shaj you didn't have to make a new profile just to start this thread, we were expecting this from you anyway.

This loss is not from QB play or lack of confidence. It's all on the O-line. You saw what 11 was able to do with some protection. If you can't pass protect or run block your not winning at all. It takes time for a play to develop down field. If the Oline isn't giving you that time you don't have a play down field. Plain and simple.

His overall Won Loss Record is 20-36 Show me other starters with that won loss record since 2005 that are still NFL starting QBs

What was our options? Please tell us. What free agent that wss available out there would be an upgrade? Ohh and with our so called pass blocking I don't care if you have Manning or Brady back there the team will lose.

Ok we get it. You think he sucks. Move on. Why even come here? Shaj you're not going to change anyone's mind. The fans aren't the ones who make decisions, the coaches do. Be mad at them. It's pointless to argue anymore. There are some that think he sucks, and some who don't. Big deal

he has thrown 31 td's and 1 int in the red zone throughout his career....where is your argument? He does not control the plays that are called....they wouldnt have brought him back if he wasnt any good.......its a good thing you geniuses from the 49ers webzone chat board dont have any impact on anything significant

"Some who don't think he suck?" How in anyones right mine would they NOT think he sucks? With the stats that prove that he does
suck explain to me how he does NOT?
I mean really. Prove to me what is GOOD about Alex Smith.
W-L Record 20-36
TD-INT 53-54
Now what is GOOD about that?

Bottom line here is Alex Smith was taken Number 1 overall and the franchise is too damn stubborn to admit they screwed
up and continue to keep him around just praying he'll one day make them look good for taking him.
In the mean time the franchise continues to be the laughing stock of the NFL.

No one said he's good. He's servicable at best but tell me again who was AVAILABLE this off season and who was willing to come here? There's no way I'd throw a rookie behind that line. They'd end up just like Alex.
