I know.. not a big fan of Barrows but he is usually decent but he's been asking some bad ones as well. Maiocco was great with his old job but kind of slipped but I doing all the TV stuff makes it tougher for him. To me I would rather ask a good solid question even if it means no answer than ask one like so how does that win feel just to get something or get a rise out of him. Those conferences I assume are a part of their contracts or are required and I see why he sees them as a waste of time. It adds up at 30 min to an hour a week that could be spent preparing or doing more productive things.
P.S. By the way who actually reads all these crappy articles? Is this for very casual fans who read newspapers as their only source of 49er info. Just like Cohn saying Harbaugh is boring and ripped him. He's just pissed because he hasn't given them anything to rip on. I bet most want him to slip up and get angry and give them something to write about. What do these guys expect? Why should a coach give away info that can be made public about the team's personal affairs? Of course us fans would love to know some of this stuff but if it hurts the team it's not worth it.
