couple of nice long throws. really nice. also some nice runs. his touchdown run was gutsy and reminded me of Elway. he also didn't throw it out of bounds as I can recall, and his accuracy was on track most of the day. HOWEVER, the fatal flaw was way too many safe, short, dink and dunk throws, he didn't take many risks, he didn't do much with 3rd down conversions, and his game stats were very, very average. He did not take the team on his back, Ginn and the defense did.

It's hard to put the team on your back when it's run run run

Very conservative play calling, which is fine since it was a victory. Ginn has re-earned my respect and the special teams were so much improved from preseason-wow! Is Seattle that bad or is the 9er ST that good?

Smith was 15 of 20 for 100+ yards...seems hard to believe a QB can have so few yards and still win so I guess we chaulk it up to the D and Smith's running ability. How many yards did he end up with? More than Gore? Go 9ers! 1-0!

LOL, Cam Newton put up better stats in his rookie debut for the worst team in the league than Alex has in 7 years trying.

C. Newton (CAR) - 422 YDS, 2 TD, 1 INT

A team with Steve Smith, DeAngelo Williams, Jeremy Shockey, Greg Olsen, is really the worst team in the league? Seriously? I don't care what their record was last year, dude has hella weapons. Not to mention that Cam is one of the most physically talented guys in the NFL. Our QB gets a passer rating of 90 and runs for a TD, we win, just be happy dude.

And yet, Alex is 1-0 while Cam is still looking for a win. So Alex wins the real game and Cam wins fantasy.
