100% Before he would throw it to the first receiver no matter what. Alex looks a lot better.

Yep. That was nice to see. The play calling was also refreshing and a big reason why we didnt face many 3rd and longs.

Disagree with that... Alex has had plenty of moments where he has had stellar drives moving the ball around. He just hasnt done it consistently through 4 quarters. I liked that we had back to back long drives, but Im anxious to see how consistent he is in a regular season game in this offense.

I saw a difference on both sides of the ball compared to the previous 4-5 years and its called attention to detail, putting players in postition to make plays and playcalling. I know it's only preseason but the oline looked better than I rememeber it looking since the Mooch years, the dline was gettin serious pressure, the dbacks were covering, Alex was making smart decisions and making good throws and Hunter was hitting the holes fast. It was almost like I was watching the Cardinals last year rolling over people. Can only hope it gets better with more reps!! First time since Nolan's first few games I'm excited to watch the next game!!

Just finished watching the replay on NFLN, and I was really impressed with the improvement along the o-line. I've been reading about the better play up front in the game, but actually seeing it was another story. Oakland's starting front 7 has some studs in there with Seymour, Kelly, Wimbley, and McClain, and we really did a good job against them.
Somebody already mentioned the runs to the outside, but I don't remember us running a straight-up pitch-out sweep since Hearst was in the backfield. And that kid Hunter is a bit of an eye opener. He's small and fast, but he's also got the stones to take it inside and put a shoulder into someone. Looking forward to seeing more of him next week.
Alex looked good this game. Good completion percentage, even with a few dropped balls, and made some plays moving in the pocket. The pick was a big mistake, though. I did like what Harbaugh said about it being a correctable problem, howver. He said the same thing about the blitz pickup after last week, and it really improved, so I'm personally hoping to see the same results in that area as well.
The redzone stalls would worry me, but I've got a feeling that we're hiding those plays until the season starts.

Yes. Unless that was a dream I had. If that is the case, no.
Glad I could clear things up for you.

I dont wanna eat my words here still early but I saw vast improvement of Alex last week over all of last year in only one week. Maybe Jim does know what he's doing.

Smith looked decent. I'd like to see him look decent again next week. Consistency...
