It´s a pitty, he´s big and knows how to get open.

I could see us drafting a WR next year.

I think you're selling Crabtree short.

Well, a solid to great 2 at WORST. He could be the #1 next year if we don't re-sign Braylon and the rookie could start off at 2 or 3. I have supported him since day one and when people on here said he was faking the injuries. Yeah, a professional medical staff put a boot on the guy who was faking an injury. A lot of people have been unfair to him since day one and it was partly his fault for holding out but the diva thing was blown out of proportion. I think he is actually a pretty quiet guy.

P.S. I hope Williams gets a shot because he can be a 4... Ginn should be dropped down. I think Morgan would have had a breakout year and it goes back to guys like him and Kyle catching the ball at San Jose State with Alex. Morgan would be a great slot guy for us. With Ginn it's weird because he has had a knack for being soft and he has went up the middle and taken some hard shots this year (returning). He can catch a ball with 10 men around him with half of them wanting to knock his head off but he can't catch a ball over the middle. He has the hands or he wouldn't be able to catch every punt/kick... he should have the concentration because it takes a lot of it to catch a punt in traffic.... I don't get it. Still, he was worth a 5th to me. Just waiting for one more TD from him. I knew he would slow down after week 1 though. Guys on here acted like he could do it every week.

We should really keep Ginn out of the lineup as a ploy to decrease his value and re-sign him as a return specialist and WR5.

That said, I dunno if WR4 is fair for Williams's ceiling. He was really making plays out there today.

I think we start there... he hasn't had an opportunity yet against elite competition. Our entire offense lit up the Cardinals defense in the passing game. At least by our standards... Alex had 171 yards in the 1st half which is slightly less than what he averages for most games. I don't know if I am willing to put him in the slot over Morgan. If we don't address WR then I could see it being Crabtree, Morgan and Williams but not sure that's enough. As long as we address the CB and WR positions early (if we don't re-sign Edwards) I am happy. Hopefully Goldson accepts a reasonable offer as well.
Edwards is potentially the 49ers version of Edgar Renteria. Hurt all year, in and out of the line-up, but maybe, just maybe, the guy who flashes his experience and skill, to make the biggest play on the biggest stage, before it's all done. Just sayin'.........

Everyone knew that Edwards came with a lot of baggage, including occasional dropped balls. For all of those reasons he did not have a lot of options left on the table. From reports, it sounded like the main reason he wound up here was the personal relationship between his Dad and Jim Harbaugh.

We all know his credentials coming out of college, and on occasion, he lived up to them. Until the last few games, there was so little emphasis placed on the passing game that it was hard to tell what he could do here. However, it is clear from his past that he can be a legit #1. Therefore, it is worth waiting until he gets fully healthy before making any final decisions.

In any case, I still expect the 49ers to draft a speedy WR in the first two rounds next spring.
even when madden had Braylon rated higher than Crabs, I still had Crabs as my #1... Remember, it took Vernon till year 4 to truly break out and become one of the top tight ends. Crabtree has already shown more than what Davis had shown over their first 3 seasons, its all a matter of ... 1. staying healthy (crabs feet) 2. team first mentality (both were considered me guys the first 2-3 seasons) 3. work ethic 4. the want to be great. with that said I wouldnt mind bringing Edwards back with Williams, and Crabs essentially still developing then you have Morgan and Ginn who have proved to be pretty solid in this offense, minus a couple ginn drops.
I think he can still be a valuable weapon if/when he finally gets healthy. I think he can definitely have in impact in the playoffs, when teams key in on VD and Crab. Plus, his limited production this year will make him cheap to resign to a ~3 year deal this offseason which I think we should do. He has elite potential
Well take this for what its worth...

He's not. Harbaugh confirmed that last night. @JReff22: Is Braylon still having serious issues with the knee, he doesnt look close to 100%?

Harbaugh lies

I think Edwards should take it easy and relax until he is healthy. We are gonna need him during our playoff run

It looks like BE is wearing a brace?

that could be limiting his mobility

According to Harbaugh, 49ers were resting him with short week ahead... @DiegoNaranjo82: why didn't @OfficialBraylon finish the game?
